Savor the joy of discovery and the luxury of uninterrupted reading time during this relaxing, two-day retreat. Immerse yourself in a book nestled among our cozy library stacks, or take breaks throughout the day with activities designed to help you meet other readers in thoughtful discussion.
The retreat will run Saturday from 1pm-8pm and Sunday from 9am-5pm. Saturday will include an acoustic musical performance afterhours and Sunday morning will include a light yoga session in the library’s atrium before we open to the public.
Here is the basic schedule of activities:
Saturday
1-2pm Opening session and orientation
3-5pm Reading time with snacks
5-7pm Break for dinner
7-8pm Acoustic concert in Library Atrium (Wilcox Amphitheater under construction)
Sunday
9-10am Yoga in the Atrium and light breakfast
10am-12pm Reading through the morning
12-1pm Break for lunch
1-2pm Afternoon tea and conversation
2-4pm Reading time
4-5pm Closing session and gratitude
