John DeLorean was larger than life: He was a successful engineer and business executive who quickly climbed the corporate ladder at GM. He's seen as the father of the Pontiac GTO, (one of the great muscle cars of the 1960s), and was part of many other successful vehicle programs at General Motors.
He tried, but failed, in trying to create a great sports car, costing his investors millions. Married four times, he was charged with loan fraud, tax evasion, and was arrested for his part in a drug deal. Although acquitted of all charges, he was financially ruined and filed bankruptcy.
Join us as local author Barry Levine presents the unbelievable highs and lows of John DeLorean's career. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
