Program Description

Specific Event Details

Dive into stories worth experiencing! Join us for our first Human Library event where people are 'books' sharing diverse life journeys. Borrow a story, challenge stereotypes, and connect through empathy.

Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2000, the Human Library is now hosted globally. The model is that each person sharing their story is a book and, like in a library, the book can be checked out for a short time, generally 20 minutes, by our patrons, the readers . Each book has a specific title and will talk about their experience with that topic. The reader interacts with the book, asking questions to gain a deeper understanding. More information can be found on the Human Library organization website, https://humanlibrary.org

This is a drop-in event.  Stay as long or as short of a time as you'd like.

This event’s published themes include: Religion, Neurodiversity, Queerness and Sexuality, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Ethnicity.
