Specific Event Details
Plymouth District Library is pleased to host a traveling exhibit from The Automotive Hall of Fame (AHoF) called Achievement.
Achievement is a celebration of Black leadership and innovation in automobility. The contributions African- Americans made to the automotive industry have not been celebrated or even fully captured and shared. We recognize that these are important stories that need to be told. This exhibition consists of a multi-channel experience about Black contribution to the automotive industry and the industry’s impact on Black families and communities. Achievement recognizes 19 African Americans’ success stories, in the Automotive Industry from 1873 to 2022.
Educators can access related curriculum materials using this link.
This exhibit can be enjoyed at PDL through February 23. A presentation regarding the exhibit will also take place on Thursday, February 8 at 7pm. Click here to register.
