Join us on Saturday, January 20th for a poetry reading and author talk with poets Nandi Comer and Brittany Rogers! Nandi Comer is the Poet Laureate of Michigan and the author of American Family: A Syndrome and Tapping Out, which was awarded the 2020 Society of Midland Authors Award and the 2020 Julie Suk Award. She is the co-director of Detroit Lit. Brittany Rogers is a poet, mother, educator, and native Detroiter. She has work published or forthcoming in Mississippi Review, The Metro Times, The Offing, Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora, and Oprah Daily. Her work has been anthologized in The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 2: Black Girl Magic and Best of the Net. She is Editor-in-Chief for Muzzle Magazine and co-host of Poetry Foundation’s VS Podcast.

27th Letter Books will be supporting this event to sell copies of Comer's work.
