Specific Event Details
In this highly interactive workshop, nationally known storyteller Judy Sima gently guides participants through a series of exercises to help bring cherished memories to life and capture family tales before they disappear. Using “memory joggers" and an imaginary “snapshot,” participants create stories to share with loved ones or as a springboard for writing memoirs.
Award-winning storyteller, author, and teaching artist Judy Sima is known across the country for her interactive storytelling workshops. With over 35 years’ experience, Judy has introduced many young people and adults to the art of storytelling. She is considered to be the “Pied Piper of Storytelling in Metro Detroit.” Judy is the editor of MIStory, Michigan’s online storytelling publication, and a member of the Detroit Story League.
