There was a time where tribal leaders were reporting that their children were missing, they had been taken from the homes that they knew and being placed in non-Indigenous homes.  Children were being taken in droves.  Learn how the Indian Child Welfare Act came to be.  Learn about how it is now being threatened in a Supreme Court Case that threatens tribal sovereignty in this virtual presentation by Heather Bruegl, a member of the Oneida nation of Wisconsin.
