Program Description

Specific Event Details

The Brits named them biscuits; the Dutch dubbed them koekje. We call them cookies—those scrumptious morsels that bring sweetness and merriment to holiday celebrations. Learn how cookies evolved from an indulgence reserved for the wealthy to an essential part of our Christmas festivities. Sarah Wassberg Johnson, The Food Historian, explores the unique history of cookies in America and the role of Christmas traditions throughout the ages. This is a virtual event; Zoom login provided at registration.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Plymouth District Library.
