Program Description
BARK: Be A Reading Kid
B.A.R.K. is a social reading program focused on children's learning. This specialty program is specifically designed to help children with their reading and communication skills. A child will be paired with a therapy dog for a 15-minute reading session. We will have books available but feel free to bring your own as well. The Paws & Effect team provides support while the child gets supervised reading practice, helping to develop vocabulary, increase understanding, fluency, and confidence.
Registration is no longer required for this program. Time slots will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis beginning 15 minutes prior to the start of the program.
